Is my name... My day job is not a journalist. And I don't run a travel agency. I travel a tad more than an average person does, that's cos it's what I do for a living. For the time being at least. Envy me not cos the job glitz goes just as far as the Image hosting by Photobucket does, in between, it's (*7%!#@@?). Just another job, that's what I mean. But I love it and I love it, and I'm grateful. Anyhow, welcome to my weblog. In here, you'll get, if not little, scanty info on my globetrots and travels. Do not expect detailed accounts, nor travel-guide type facts and figs. Just some idiot-proof, Info-Sharing-101, you could find handy if you're looking up destinations, I've been to, myself. Feel free to indulge, heed my advice, dump it, comment, pop your queries or judge me, for all you fancy. All info are true at point of publishing, unless stated otherwise. Hmmph, just one advice. I share cos I'm naturally nice like that, but I'm not always, always right. Don't say I didn't warn you.

What say u...

Uh huh. So I haven't been updating. Perhaps I should hang a tag that says, "OUT...and not returning till much later." But I haven't exactly been on hibernative or idling, infact, I've been working. And I mean real hard. Or rather, I've been away mostly. In plain non-flight dialectology, I've done 3 long flights in August, 2 ultra-long hauls in Sept and have just gotten back from a 9-day stint just yesterday. And no prizes for guessing my roster for November. A London and New York! Now now, that's an average of 2 long flights in a month, for 4 months running. And what have I got to say about the sudden influx of Longs,(reads: I'm tired mostly, can't help putting on hold most stuffs I deem, they can wait, for instance car servicing and duh, updating my blog. Falling sick and losing my voice completely. And looking like a wreck. If you could imagine oversized baggage for undereyes, that'll be it.) But all that and the Raya jingles that I have yet to hear for my lack of being around, it makes me look forward to my Raya leave that awaits me in less than just a week! Anyhow, don't get me wrong please. I'm really not complaining about my roster. It's been a blessing, and I could never be more grateful. Ofcos it does come with a price, and from the looks of it, I'm managing pretty okay, plus, what better background music could I hum my Raya lyrics to than... "...selamat hari raya <$kaching*kaching$> ...kepada saudara serta saudari <$kaching*kaching$> ..."
Khekhekhe!
Anyway, to those who are still visiting my blog despite the non-updates, here's to you......
A new update!!! Was rostered to an entirely new station, I've only visited for the first time in my entire life.

One for the road, before Homebound.

Some scanty Fun Facts.

  • Russian Currency : Roubles ( A hundred Roubles to an estimate US$4.)
  • Russians : They aren't the rudest people on the planet. Infact, even with the language barrier, some were really helpful at answering queries.
  • Russian word for Thank You : Sounded something like "Spicy Ball", and till the last day, I still haven't quite figured what exactly. Spicy Ball it is!
  • Russian Train system : Operates punctually at 1min intervals and 2mins, at off-peak. And for a mere 15 Roubles, it'll get you to any single trip destination.
  • Russian Weather : If it hadn't rained on our second and third day, it would have been perfect weather, with temperature ranging from 15 to 18 deg. celcius. Though in March it could still be as bitter as -40!
  • Russian traditional hot chocolate is literally melted chocolate.
  • Russian traditional drink is a beer-like cider without alcohol.
  • Fish is expensive in Moscow.
  • The largest canon in the world which is found in Kremlin, Moscow has never ever been utilised.

Till I come across more, go visual feasting go!
