Is my name... My day job is not a journalist. And I don't run a travel agency. I travel a tad more than an average person does, that's cos it's what I do for a living. For the time being at least. Envy me not cos the job glitz goes just as far as the Image hosting by Photobucket does, in between, it's (*7%!#@@?). Just another job, that's what I mean. But I love it and I love it, and I'm grateful. Anyhow, welcome to my weblog. In here, you'll get, if not little, scanty info on my globetrots and travels. Do not expect detailed accounts, nor travel-guide type facts and figs. Just some idiot-proof, Info-Sharing-101, you could find handy if you're looking up destinations, I've been to, myself. Feel free to indulge, heed my advice, dump it, comment, pop your queries or judge me, for all you fancy. All info are true at point of publishing, unless stated otherwise. Hmmph, just one advice. I share cos I'm naturally nice like that, but I'm not always, always right. Don't say I didn't warn you.

What say u...

I've had this drafted out while I made my own way back from Jam's hotel room in Gloucester. Had silently, full of zip, in my hyperactive mind, planned to blog about my day-out in London with beloved team Girl Jam, who came in on the same day I did, but on a different flight. That, before it got interrupted by an announcement made over the PA that all Westbound trains on the District line were to be severely delayed. Timecheck, 10pm! On a normal day, or night like this, that is if I'm at home, back in Singapore, it's a sure no Biggie. But I was away. In a foreign land. Not knowing exactly what the underground system is like there. 'Cept that in a recent poll that was held, it overtook Paris and New York as having the world's most busiest public transport system. (Yet not the most reliable...) So, accompanied by my one dimensional know-wheres of London and the scanty information given by one kind samaritan, I decided to take the bus. Bus no. 49 that was to take me just a few stops away, God knows where exactly, to High Street Kensington where once there, I'ld be able to make my way back to my hotel. Anyhow, while I was on the bus, I made a friend, Rahoul, a Kashmiran, who has been living there for the past 5 years. A student by day and a waiter at a betting cafe by night. Had told me to look him up the next time I'm in London so he could buy me dinner. I was grateful somehow that he had told me where to alight, though dinner and the I-will-look-him-up promise, was a total fib. As I gathered my steps, I can't help a tad reminiscent of that holiday I took with Sis last year to London. Where we had taken a picture outside a little cafeteria called the Muffin Man. Just this little joke we shared about this place. While I absorb the little emo moment to displace the chill that was hastening my pace already, I was back in my room. Never felt safer.
Anyhow, if u think this is the end already, no u're especially wrong cos haven't I said I had wanted to blog about what happened in the day? Okies, this was what, Me and Jam met up at the tube station so we could have breakfast and to cut a long story short, we weren't in the mood to shop. By then it was mid-day. So we headed towards Mawar, a halal, Malaysian Food restaurant off Edgeware, the equivalent of Arab Street in Singapore. Jam thought a play should keep us occupied for the rest of the day. We looked up the play show-list and decided on one. One with dancing in it. Something disco, dancing, jiving anything lively. And thought that if we could just head to Embankment to get out tickets there instead of Leicester, we could just while away and watch it by evening since the theatre is located at Embankment itself. So we walked, looked, and asked and still couldn't find the theater and by some force of wrong directions fortified by undeniably unsubtle toutisty cluelessness, we landed ourselves at Trafalgar Square. It was here where we saw a public performance by a dazzling array of dancers cladded in colourful costumes screaming for attention. We got closer and guess who we saw.
